Where Can I Serve?

Reclaim is currently in the pre-launch phase of our ministry to the metro.  What this means is that the ministries of Reclaim are not yet fully formed and operational on a weekly basis.  However, this does not mean there are no opportunities to serve.  On the contrary, it means there is even more to do.  Listed below are some of the examples of ministries developing through Reclaim Church.  If none of these fit the unique way God has called you to serve, that’s ok.  We are open to exploring the possibility of a new ministries your involvement in Reclaim might bring.  In light of this, don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Jerry or Pastor Dave to talk about how God is leading you.

What if the Church…

This ministry is actually a partnership of hundreds of churches in the Kansas City metro.  The 2017 theme for this ministry is exciting and powerful.  What if the church, in all its diversity of congregations, banded together for the common purpose of BLESSING OUR NEIGHBORHOODS.  This can be accomplished through five simple ways of blessing, that will bless you in the process.  If you are interested in participating in this ministry, please contact Pastor Jerry or Pastor Dave. 

Youth Ministry

Many people have stated the youth are the church of tomorrow, but Reclaim Church believes that the youth are the church of today.  With that in mind, we are currently developing a strong youth ministry team led by Pastor Tia.  If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact her directly.  There are countless ways you can serve, even if you have no experience.  

Children’s Ministry Team

We are currently working diligently to build a well-equipped children’s ministry team to serve the kids of our community.  The prerequisites for this ministry are simply having a personal relationship with Jesus and loving kids.  That’s right, you don’t need to know how to teach or have any other experience.  We will work closely with you to help train and equip you to serve Jesus by serving children.  Many people who have been involved in children’s ministries over the years have said it has been the most rewarding ministry they have ever done.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. If you are interested in serving with media and tech on Sunday mornings, please talk with Sara Breedlove.  If you are interested in helping out throughout the week, talk to Pastor Jerry.

Marriage Counseling

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Sara Breedlove serves the people of Reclaim as our pastoral marriage counselor. Her role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Prayer is the primary work of God’s people.  Reclaim Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, at 9:00 am, a team of volunteers is praying for the many needs in families, the community, and around the world. Throughout the week, members of this critical ministry team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.
